The Ann Arbor restaurant world has been a whirlwind of activity in recent months. Allow the Ann Arbor Heatmap to provide you with insights on the new restaurants and old favorites that have opened or reopened in the last six months or so, or that have otherwise sparked renewed intrigue.
In this update to new restaurants to try, I’ve replaced all of last summer’s recommendations with 11 new restaurants, all of which are less than a year old. Two buzzy newer spots include Blue Llama Jazz Club and Peridot — both of which have since gone on to the Ann Arbor essentials map, a collection of can’t-miss stalwarts and bucket-list entries.
