Beer sold here (but not like that)

The owners of both World of Beer restaurants in Canton and Woodhaven changed the name to Maverick’s. According to the Detroit Free Press, co-owner Chad Wilson cites that patrons were regularly confused and thought the establishment was a beer store and not a bar/restaurant.

More Pho in the new year

Downtown Ferndale will have a new Vietnamese soup restaurant with the opening of Got Pho in January 2020. It is located in the former MC Wiches space at 172 W 9 Mile Rd. The restaurant’s Facebook page promises, “Got Pho is a simple place nothing too complicated about us. A simple smile is all we offer and in the end it’s all up to you as a customer.”
