In recent years, the restaurant scene in this town at the foot of Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay has quietly planted the roots of an exciting regional food scene.
From a 24-seat restaurant that was Michigan’s only James Beard finalist this spring and a husband and wife duo that left Michelin-starred kitchens in Chicago to come North, to a stunning gathering space that feels like eating in an elevated farmstand, here are the places that will make visitors rethink what to eat Up North.
