The Detroit Lions are already off to a strong start after scoring a 26-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night for their season opener held at Ford Field. For ticket holders with dreams of a Lions Super Bowl this season, expect a diverse array of food and drink offerings throughout the stadium — many of which come from women or minority-owned businesses.

Among the highlights at Ford Field this year, is the Battle of the Coneys, which during each home game will pit the Motor City’s iconic coney dog against a coney creation inspired by the visiting team (Streats of Detroit Stands — Section 109, 126, 217, and 244); fried chicken wings tossed in butter chicken sauce (Corner Bar & Grill); smash burgers (Sections 100 + 120 & Tailgate Grill Section 219 + 242); shawarma, orzo rice bowls and fattoush salad from Modern Greek and Salad Bar (Section 115 & 216); nachos smothered in barbecue pork, buffalo chicken, or chopped brisket from the Nacho Factory (South Club and Chopped Pork Nachos at AiFi 139); classic barbecue options from Slows Bar BQ; and brunch anytime picks from Brush that include brats, giant cinnamon rolls, and brisket bowls.

In addition, the stadium’s dining choices include more than 20 local partners including 12 women- or minority-owned businesses, including: baked goods from Clementine’s Bakery (Suites Dessert Cart) and Howell-based M Street Bakery; plant-based options from Cooking with Que; Den Blend coffee from Grand Rapids-based Ferris Coffee (100 level Streets of Detroit stands); and made-to-order wings from Wing Snob (Bud Light Party Zone – Sections 239).

Other new additions include grab-and-go snacks in the Meijer Concourse, 11 all-inclusive suites in the newly renovated Miller Lite Taproom Suites, the Speakeasy situated near the Nacho Factory in the west end of the South Club, specializing in craft cocktails; and a new bar and cafe in the fifth-floor suites lobby called the Kick. To drink, expect the Drink of the Game — a specialty cocktail for every Lions home game of the season — available in all bars throughout Ford Field; the Ultimate Bloody Mary served with a mini corndog skewer, cheese curds, meat stick, olive, cheese, pepperoncini, pickle, and a shot of beer (South Club, Main and Upper Concourses – Sections 112 & 222); and a variety of craft beers (Main Concourse – Section 126).
