Silverware, Chairs, Doors from Shuttered Andiamo’s Are Up for Auction #DetroitFood
Dearborn restaurant closed in February. Now, everything inside is up for grabs.
Need some silverware, tables, or chairs? How about some doors?
That and much more are up for auction at the former location of Andiamo Dearborn, which closed in February 2021 after 17 years in business. At the time of closing, owner Joe Vicari of Joe Vicari Restaurant Group cited the pandemic and its closing regulations as the reason for the restaurant’s doors closing.
The huge auction of items from the former high-end Italian steakhouse is being administered by Madalyn Auctions and Equipment, Detroit Free Press first reported. The auction house’s website informs visitors “This place is seriously huge, two full kitchens, three bars & seating for hundreds!!”
Everything from the ovens and meat slicers to the glassware and silverware is up for bids.
The Joe Vicari Restaurant group, which owns Andiamo’s and a couple-dozen more local restaurants, said in February that the restaurant had a buyer, after being listed for $3.1 million. A buyer hasn’t been disclosed, and now, everything inside is up for grabs.
The auction, which began September 20, 2021, ends Monday, October 4 at 6 p.m. Items must be picked up on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Other Vicari restaurants include Andiamo Italia in Warren, Bloomfield Hills, Livonia, and Detroit’s riverfront; Detroit Joe Muer Seafood in Detroit and Bloomfield Hills, and several Country Inn Restaurants.
