Bill Shea - Slow ballot counting in Wayne County — and a lack of totals from Detroit — left the fate of the regional transit tax in four Southeast Michigan counties unclear as Election Day gave way to Wednesday. The overall tally at 1:30 a.m., based on results posted online by Oakland, Wayne, Macomb and Washtenaw counties, showed 779,677 in favor of the tax with 802,880 against.
