Here Are the 13 New Metro Detroit Bars to Know in Spring #DetroitFood

A British-style pub, another downtown hangout spot near the ball parks, and more

Summertime is right around the corner and already so much has happened in Detroit’s bar and food scene. A flurry of new spots have opened or are about to open as a result of the NFL Draft coming to town, bringing with it a whopping 775,000 spectators over the course of just a few days. Some food and drink places that are on the verge of launching popped up just for the big event and will open for good in the coming weeks or months. In the meantime, a couple of places did swing open their doors downtown and are ready to pour you a drink.

This season, Eastern Palace Club in Hazel Park and Kelly’s Bar and Black Salt (both in Hamtramck) are making their exits to give way to Vollmers in the space formerly occupied by Park Bar and the Lone Goat on the ground floor of the Element Hotel in the Metropolitan Building downtown. Here’s where and what to drink in metro Detroit right now.
