Detroit-based gastropub chain Bobcat Bonnie’s is rounding out the year with the announcement of yet another new location. Owner Matt Buskard intends to take over a Max and Erma’s location at the Mall at Partridge Creek in February 2020. Buskard teased a potential location in Partridge Creek to Eater over the summer. He’s also considering locations in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Toledo. This fall, Bonnie’s expanded to downtown Ypsilanti.
Detroit has a nightlife ambassador
Adrian Tonon, whose family owns Cafe Cortina, is the City of Detroit’s acting 24-hour economy ambassador. His job is to help the city cultivate better relationships between late-night business, residents, and the government in order to improve the economy. Alongside meeting with international dignitaries and giving out awards to restaurant employees, Tanon’s job involves driving through “Detroit entertainment districts, monitoring the noise levels with a decibel meter app on his phone,” according to Hour Detroit.
