11 fresh spots to check out this season

Ann Arbor’s dining scene continues to grow as new restaurants and bars emerge all over town. From fine-dining to fast-casual there’s something for all tastes and budgets.

In this update, two notable chains — Shake Shack, the cult favorite burger burger chain, and PokÄ“ PokÄ“, the fast-growing Michigan-based purveyor of Hawaiian poke — have recently opened Ann Arbor outposts. They are joined by local restaurants Hola Seoul (Korean-Mexican fusion) and Naked Burrito. Finally, York completed its conversion from European-style specialty grocer to a full-service bar with sandwiches, snacks, and the year-round home of Ricewood.
