Wednesday event to celebrate arrival of Detroit's Christmas tree #DetroitNews
Associated Press - The city's official Christmas tree is expected to arrive this week at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit. A crane will raise the Norway spruce Wednesday. It weighs more than 10,000 pounds and stands taller than 60 feet. The tree is being trucked in from the Cadillac area in northern Michigan. A ceremony is scheduled to start at noon Wednesday. Cass Tech High School's marching band will perform. After it arrives in Detroit, the tree will be wrapped in more than 19,000 energy-efficient,
