Bill Shea - The regional transit tax in four Southeast Michigan counties went down to a narrow defeat because of an overwhelming rejection by voters in Macomb County. The overall tally at this morning, based on results posted online by Oakland, Wayne, Macomb and Washtenaw counties, showed 873,308 in favor of the tax with 891,821 against with nearly all precincts reporting.
