Middle Eastern Eatery Naf Naf Grill’s First Michigan Outpost Blazes Into Troy Next Week #DetroitFood
Free falafel alert
The rapid expansion of fast-casual chains into Michigan shall not be denied. Although metro Detroit isn’t exactly hurting for quality quick and affordable pita sandwich options, an outsider — Chicago-based Naf Naf Grill — will soon invade our fast-casual market. Per a release, the fast-casual falafel slinger will throw open the doors of its first Michigan location next week in Troy.
The outpost at 624 W. Big Beaver Road in the Galleria of Troy will mark its grand opening with free pita sandwiches, fries and drinks (one each per customer) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 17.
Naf Naf’s niche is build-your-own sandwiches and bowls. Customers can choose from a pita or bowl of basmati rice, romaine lettuce, couscous, or hummus. Meals are then customized with chicken or steak shawarma or vegetarian falafel and a choice of toppings and sauces.
Michigan will be the sixth state to feature a Naf Naf Grill, and the chain is keeping a brisk growth pace. A new restaurant is slated to launch in Sterling Heights in December and two more will follow in Southfield and West Bloomfield in 2017.
