Sherri Welch - Detroit Employment Solutions Corp., Detroit's workforce agency, has named Nicole Sherard-Freeman to serve as its new president and CEO, beginning in January. Sherard-Freeman, 50, succeeds Jose Reyes who had served as interim president and CEO of the agency since April when former head of the agency, Pamela Moore, left to take the helm of the Detroit Public Schools Foundation.
