Metro Detroit Juice Bar Chain Lands Inside the RenCen in Early 2020 #DetroitFood
It’s one of three new Beyond Juicery + Eaterys in the works for Detroit
The maze that is the GM Renaissance Center is receiving a new casual dining option in early 2020. Metro Detroit chain Beyond Juicery + Eatery is expanding to the renovated cafe area of the complex at Tower 200 Level A with fast-casual salads, smoothies, and juice “shots.”
Founded in 2005 as Beyond Juice, the franchise has experienced explosive growth in recent years. Since 2015, the company has gone from just one location in Birmingham in 2015 to 12 restaurants and juice bars across the region. In 2016, the chain opened its first Detroit location in Eastern Market. The GM RenCen juice bar is one of three additional outposts currently on the way to Detroit proper. One is slated to open imminently at the Boulevard, a new residential development in New Center. The other is heading to Wayne State University.
The RenCen cafe recently underwent updates, adding 16 TVs and workspaces with charging stations, per a release.
This is the latest addition to the RenCen, which recently welcomed three new restaurants and bars collectively known as the Highlands on the 71 floor.
